Tyvek Label Characteristics

• Recyclable

Made of high-density polyethylene fibers (HDPE), Tyvek is 100% recyclable.

• Lightweight and Flexible

Tyvek is incredibly light and flexible. It looks and feels like paper as it is light in weight, thin in thickness. From 43g to 105g.

• Durable and Tear-resistant

Tyvek is durable with high tear and puncture resistance.

Tyvek Labels are suitable for industrial applications requiring good conformability and strength.

Tyvek labels are work well in harsh, rugged and extreme conditions.

Specially designed for heavy duty outdoor uses.

• Water and Chemical Resistant

Tyvek is water resistant, UV resistant and chemical resistant, long-term outdoor use.

Tyvek can endure temperatures ranging from -70°C to +118°C. However, some deformation may occur, at around 80°C. Tyvek is made from high density polyethylene, which can burn; thus Tyvek should not be considered fire resistant.

• Printability

Tyvek is printable using traditional and digital printing techniques, including UV inkjet, offset, latex, screen, thermal transfer, flexographic, letterpress printing processes and more.

• Easy to Write On

You can easily write on Tyvek with permanent markers, ball point pens, or a No. 2 pencil.

• Excellent Ink Adhesion

Tyvek® products used in printing are corona treated to improve ink and coating adhesion. This electronic charging of the sheet oxidizes the surface and increases the wettability to inks, coatings and adhesives.

• Sewable Label Application

Tyvek is a non-woven fabric, it can be sewn on conventional sewing machines.
